Health & Safety

For the past 104 years, Karamu House has honored its historic founding and served as a joyful gathering place for the community.  In an effort to protect the very community that we serve, due to the coronavirus (COVID-19), we have made the difficult decision to cancel the remaining shows of our 2019-20 season, including all performances of Hoodoo Love and Next to Normal.  In addition, all classes, workshops and community events are postponed until further notice.

Karamu subscribers and other patrons of Hoodoo Love and Next to Normal are being asked to consider donating the value of their ticket(s) as a charitable contribution—allowing us to continue our rich legacy of providing unique, and culturally and socially responsive programming.

With the support of our patrons, donors and the greater Cleveland community, we will continue to ensure that Karamu House remains a long-standing pillar of our community.

Please note: For the safety and health of our patrons and staff, our in-person Box Office will be closed until further notice. The Box Office can be contacted via phone (216-795-7077) or email, 9:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

We will continue to remain attentive to the changing conditions and will make further decisions, as necessary.
